In addition, drivers can earn $35 for each loading and unloading task, making each hot shot courier service delivery more profitable.

Simple Requirements, No Hidden Fees: To drive for Ruck, you need only a reliable vehicle suitable for transporting materials for construction, a valid driver's license, and appropriate insurance. Ruck drivers maintain their independence with no hidden costs or unexpected fees – what you earn is yours to keep.

Can I Drive for Ruck? Ruck looks for specific load and tow capacities for its fleet of contractor drivers. To safely operate as a Ruck driver, the driver and vehicle must meet these conditions:

• Valid Driver's License, vehicle registration, and insurance are required and verified.
• Drivers cannot have an excessive criminal history or driving accident history. Ruck reserves the right to refuse contracts for any legally prudent reason.
• Drivers must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Items exceeding this weight should be declined if safety is a concern.
• Drivers must be willing and able to unload cargo, including oversized items like lumber or drywall. Declines are allowed before claiming an order.
• Vehicles must accommodate eight ft. materials with minimal overhang and handle at least 1500 lbs.
  

How Much Will I Make? The target compensation approximates about $30 per hour. Here are the factors that contribute to a driver's pay:

• Base Rate: Varies by the requirement of truck and trailer.
• Mileages: Calculated from the pickup to the drop-off location to cover travel expenses.
• Loading/Unloading: Compensation varies based on the nature of the task, with most vendors loading the vehicles.
• Tips: While not required, tips are encouraged on large or complex orders and go directly to the drivers.
  

Payout Schedule: Effective 12/08/2024, all earnings accrued by you as an independent contractor will be paid out on a weekly basis. The earnings period runs from Monday through Sunday, with payments initiated the following Monday.

• Payment Processing via Stripe Express:We utilize Stripe Express (“Stripe”) as a third-party payment processor. By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge that your payouts are subject to Stripe’s terms, conditions, and processing timelines. Once payments are initiated on Monday, funds will typically become available in your linked bank account within 1-2 business days, depending on your financial institution’s processing times.
• Account Setup and Verification:You are responsible for setting up and maintaining a Stripe Express account and ensuring that all required personal and banking information is accurate and up-to-date. Failure to provide accurate information may result in payment delays or withholding of funds until such issues are resolved.
• Disputes and Chargebacks:Any disputes, chargebacks, or payment-related issues arising from the use of Stripe Express are governed by Stripe’s policies and procedures. You agree to cooperate with any investigation or resolution process initiated by Stripe or us in connection with such issues.
• Changes to Payout Schedule:We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or alter the payout schedule or payment methods at any time, at our sole discretion. In the event of any changes, we will provide you with written notice. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised payout schedule or method.
• Compliance with Laws and Regulations:You agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and rules governing financial transactions and reporting. Any violations may result in suspension of payments, termination of your account, or other remedies as permitted by law.
